A virtual city and gambling District of Decentraland where users can build experiences and socialize. All in-game assets including virtual LAND are ERC 721 NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) and the in-game currency is a native ERC 20 cryptocurrency, Mana.

CAN I BUY LAND?

You can’t purchase parcels in Vegas City as it’s managed as a single estate but if you own private land https://market.decentraland.org/ LAND in districts is not owned by contributors. They were contributed to the district and each district has it's own scheme. The scheme for Vegas City is to give contributors a stake in the organisation.

WHAT DO I GET AS A LAND’S OWNER?

As an owner of LAND, you have full creative freedom — any revenue generated by experience you create goes straight into your crypto wallet. As a result, a parcel of LAND’s location influences the types of visitors it’ll attract.

WHAT IS POAP?

A Poap is a special kind of NFT that is distributed at events and signifies attendance. Many people collect these and each poap a unique design and in some cases entitle the owner to benefits.

HOW MANY AVATARS CAN ATTEND AN EVENT?

The number of avatars in total is in the 10s of thousands. However, Decentraland is split into realms, and each realm has maximum 100 at the moment which means an avatar can only see max 99 other people at the same time. There is no theoretical limit as more servers can be added to create new realms.

CAN I STILL INVEST IN VEGAS CITY?

The Vegas City shares are sold out, but you can invest via Casino leases. The district land was contributed a long time ago, so now we are making opportunities that utilise that land. Casino leases are a token where each is bonded to the underlying land coordinate that it shares. They can be resold, and they earn revenue based on the games that are operated on that particular parcel. It's a managed service and it's success is likely to be proportionate to the overall success of Vegas City.
